CICI ARTIST

CICI ARTIST began her career as an artist by studying science. She did all the right things to please her  family; She received degrees in Applied Mathematics from prestigious universities such as Brown University and the University of Michigan, and worked for many years as a systems analyst for distinguished institutions such as Harvard and Fordham Universities. But none of this satisfied the creative side of her brain and so, a half-dozen years ago, she decided to follow her destiny and become an artist.
She gave up her conventional lifestyle, changed her name and never looked back.

For the past few years she has prolifically worked on series and projects to produce more – and more exciting – work. CICI’s computer skills enable her to go beyond conventional painting and drawing, transforming images into video productions as well as self-published picture books and flip-camera “epics.”
Not a day goes by without an exhilarating project:  maybe a 30-second video on a flip camera with music she  composed herself, or, a riff on the Tao, “81 Faces of the Tao”, 2005 images in celebration of the Year 2005…

Her life is now an exciting adventure; She never knows whether she can pay this month’s bills but the artwork just pours out of her. She says she has never been happier.
Certainly beats a lifetime of spreadsheets.
